Introduction of the rose 'Mémoire de Wiltz', 2022

The baptism of the rose 'Mémoire de Wiltz' took place on July 22, 2022, in the courtyard of the castle in Wiltz.

'Mémoire de Wiltz' is a rose against forgetting, as a reminder of the general strike of August 31, 1942, against the Nazi occupying forces, which had just introduced forced recruitment, and as a symbol of the exemplary courage of the citizens of Wiltz in rebuilding their city after the war.

The Floribunda rose, with simple flowers in a soft coral pink with a white heart, was bred by Martin Vissers (VIVA INTERNATIONAL).
