This floribunda rose with characteristics of Rosa persica captivates the eye. The single flowers, with a single row of petals, are white with a bright red “eye” in the centre. They are punctuated with yellow stamens and resemble hibiscus flowers. They bloom in clusters on a sturdy, easy-to-maintain bush with very healthy medium green foliage. The variety is ideal for planting in beds, borders or containers.
The non-profit organisation Patrimoine Roses Luxembourg has dedicated this humanitarian rose to the non-profit organisation “Stand, Speak, Rise Up!” (SSRU), an initiative of HRH the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. Created in 2019, SSRU denounces rape as a weapon of war and actively helps organisations around the world to support survivors of war rape.
The “Stand, Speak, Rise Up!” rose was baptised on 20 June 2022 by HRH the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg at Parc Laval in Esch-sur-Alzette as part of the inauguration of the Parc Laval rose garden.
