The polyantha rose ‘Petite Léonie’ blooms in solitary or clusters of tiny double flowers that are pure white with a pink wash in the center. They stand out beautifully against the shiny green foliage. A few organic preventive treatments are all that is needed to keep this variety healthy. It is recommended to grow this miniature rose in a container.
The rose is named after Léonie Stümper (1882-1950), daughter of Cathérine Soupert and Pierre Stümper. She was the first granddaughter of Jean Soupert, nicknamed the ‘king of roses’, and his wife Anne-Marie Notting.
