Large, pure white simple roses, punctuated with golden stamens, bloom on this vigorous hybrid of moschata and rugosa throughout the summer season. The elegant buds, illuminated with fine dark red veins, release flowers with a light musky fragrance. Its generous flowering, fruit and autumn colouring make it an excellent shrub for hedgerows, parks or wild gardens.
The “Fräiheetsrous – Rosier de la Liberté” commemorates the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Introduced in 2015 by the Patrimoine Roses pour le Luxembourg association, the rose is dedicated to the memory of those who died in the Second World War. A symbol of peace and solidarity, the rose represents a living link between the past and the future.
It was baptised on 8 May 2015 as part of the ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
