A rose full of fantasy. This superb polyantha rose offers a pleasant fragrance and surprising color. On pretty, bright green, healthy foliage, waves of flowers appear in shades of coppery orange and golden yellow, turning red as they fade. They bloom either singly or in clusters on long, flexible stems. This old rose is still worth growing, both for its historical interest and its beauty.
The young Peter Lambert (1860-1939), a nurseryman from Trier, learned the rose-growing trade at Soupert & Notting (L) and at Jean-Baptiste Lamesch (Rousebatti) in Dommeldange (L). He dedicated this exceptional rose to his wife Léonie, daughter of his master J.B. Lamesch.
