With two dozen bright red petals, illuminated by mother-of-pearl colour on the underside, the clustered flowers of the floribunda rose “Aline Mayrisch Rose” immediately catch the eye. Bright green foliage adorns this floriferous and quick-growing rose. The variety is suitable for growing in pots.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Luxembourg Red Cross, this exceptional rose was dedicated to Aline Mayrisch de St. Hubert (1874-1947). Very involved in cultural and intellectual life, she and her husband Emile Mayrisch were committed to Franco-German understanding after the First World War. She was a founding member of the Luxembourg Red Cross in 1914, committed herself to the creation of a modern maternity hospital and collaborated with Anne Beffort to establish the first public secondary school for girls in Luxembourg.
