The floribunda rose “Grand-Duc Henri” grows moderately and produces very double cup-shaped flowers. They open to reveal a classic tea hybrid flower before blooming into an old-fashioned rose in warm apricot-orange colours. The foliage is dark green and matt, with young leaves that are dark brown in colour, creating a beautiful contrast with the rest of the foliage and flowers. Black spot disease (Marsonia) can be a problem. This variety requires a good supply of fertiliser.
This rose is dedicated to HRH Grand Duke Henri, born on 16 April 1955, eldest son of Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte of Luxembourg. Grand Duke Henri was the constitutional sovereign of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg from 2000 to 2025.
