This magnificent floribunda rose recalls the charm of English roses. Its rounded cup-shaped flowers are a bright fuchsia-mauve colour. They have an intense scent of myrrh and lily of the valley. They bloom on an upright bush and are good cut roses. The matt foliage is highly resistant to disease.
The rose was introduced on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the birth of Charles IV (1316-1378), King of Bohemia and Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. This illustrious figure from the House of Luxembourg, son of John of Luxembourg, King of Bohemia, is considered one of the great dynastic figures of the Middle Ages.
