A hybrid tea rose that stands out for its colour. Big buds open into large double flowers with a turbinate centre, their white petals edged with pink. When in full bloom, golden stamens highlight the delicate single roses. Dark foliage adorns this upright-growing rose. This variety is marketed in Luxembourg under the name “Princesse Alix de Ligne”.
Alix de Luxembourg (1929-2019), Princess Dowager de Ligne, was the younger sister of Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg. The Château de Beloeil (B), the de Ligne family home since the 14th century, is called the “Belgian Versailles”. The vast estate, with its French gardens preserved according to the original plans from 1664, is open to the public.
