Rosa “Château de Munsbach” is a hybrid moschata shrub with a supple, repeat-flowering habit. Its graceful, double, cupped roses bloom in large clusters of up to 30 flowers in a bright butter yellow colour, fading to cream. When fully open, they reveal their stamens, which exude a pleasant fruity fragrance. Flowering continues at a good pace, provided that faded flowers are removed regularly. The very shiny green foliage is robust and healthy. In autumn, the shrub ends the summer season with an impressive bloom.
Since 2017, the parc of Munsbach Castle (L) is home to a very large collection of old and new Luxembourg rose varieties. Designed and maintained by members of the 'Grand Ducal Association of Friends of the Rose, Rousefrënn', the 'Roseraie du Château de Munsbach' has become a must-see for rose lovers.
