'Red Fire', the “Paul Wurth” rose, is a delightful shrub rose with fiery tones. Born from pointed, elegant buds, the flowers have around fifteen jagged petals and brighten their embers-red corollas with a yellow eye. Long red stamens topped with tiny golden grains illuminate the centre of the rose. With a light fragrance, it flowers profusely until the first frosts. The vigorous bush constantly produces new buds. The dark, glossy foliage is highly resistant to disease. Three to five “Red Fire” plants in full bloom create a beautiful blaze, but the shrub also looks stunning when combined with perennials or planted among feathery grasses.
The “Red Fire” rose was chosen to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the “Paul Wurth Luxembourg” company in 2020. The “Paul Wurth” group is one of the world's leading suppliers of engineering and products for the steel industry.
The naming ceremony for the “Red Fire” rose took place on 26 August 2022 at the Paul Wurth headquarters in Luxembourg City.
