Gathered in light clusters, the small double flowers of this polyantha rose are adorned with a pearly white hue tinged with soft pink. Fine dark green foliage adorns this tiny rose, which is best grown in a pot.
The eldest daughter of Grand Duke William IV of Luxembourg (1852-1912) and his wife Marie Anne of Braganza, Infanta of Portugal (1861-1942), Marie-Adélaïde of Nassau-Weilburg (1894-1924) was the first Luxembourgish sovereign born on Luxembourgish soil since John the Blind, King of Bohemia (1296-1346). Only 18 years old when she took office, she abdicated on January 15, 1919, after seven years of reign, in order to avoid a political crisis. Her younger sister succeeded her under the name Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg (1896-1985).
